🧭 Ministry Focus:
A Worship Leader serves as a Resource Person by using their musical and spiritual gifting to lead people into meaningful worship during Church-wide events, Community gatherings, and Classes. The Worship Leader discerns an appropriate worship theme based on the purpose of the event or the message being delivered, and develops a line-up of songs that aligns with it. This person works collaboratively with the worship team and coordinates as needed with the Events Team and other ministry leaders.

  • Musically gifted and spiritually discerning, with prior experience in leading worship
  • Able to create worship themes and song line-ups that match the event’s purpose
  • Collaborative and respectful when working with singers, musicians, and leaders
  • Willing to grow through feedback, spiritual maturity, and team mentorship

Each Worship Leader will be paired with a Coach who will guide them through the training projects. The Coach will help the Worship Leader reflect on theme discernment, team collaboration, and worship leadership. Coaching may include one-on-one conversations, set list reviews, or event debriefs. The goal is to help the Worship Leader grow in both spiritual sensitivity and technical leadership.

Goal: Learn how to align worship with the message or event focus.

  • Share your theme with a mentor or the speaker/leader for feedback

Goal: Develop a worship set that flows with the theme and engages participants.

  • Choose 3–5 songs that match the worship theme (blend familiar and fresh)
  • Practice transitions and song flow with vocalists and musicians

  • Reflect on your selection and flow in a Worship Leader Journal
