Session 4

Our Beliefs ✨📖

Welcome to RLCC! We have a set of biblical beliefs that unite us together. To help you remember them easily, we use the acrostic BELIEFS as our guide.

Let’s explore each one together in a way that’s easy to understand and remember. 🙌
B — Bible as God’s Word 📖
The Bible is God’s special message to all people. It’s holy, inspired by God, and true without mistakes in the original texts. God speaks to us mainly through the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16-17), but He can also communicate in other ways today (Hebrews 1:1-4). Everything we believe and do at RLCC is based on what the Bible clearly teaches.
E — Eternal Salvation ✝️
Salvation means being saved completely by Jesus. Everyone has made mistakes and fallen short of God’s perfect standard (Romans 3:23). But through faith in Jesus Christ, God saves us fully—our past, present, and future. This salvation changes us inside and prepares us for a wonderful new life with God forever in the new heaven and new earth (Ephesians 2:8-10; 1 Peter 1:3-9).
L — Lord and Savior Jesus Christ ✝️👑
Jesus is the only way to be saved. He is both the Lord (the one in charge) and our Savior (the one who saves us). No one can go to God the Father except through faith in Jesus (John 14:6). To follow Jesus means to believe in Him, turn away from sin, and live under His leadership together with others who do the same (Acts 2:36-39).
I — Image of God 🧑‍🤝‍🧑✨
God created humans in His own image, which means our purpose is to reflect and represent Him here on earth (Genesis 1:26-27). This is our original calling. But, because of sin, we can’t do this anymore on our own. Only when we are changed by Jesus through the Holy Spirit can we truly reflect God’s character and bring Him glory (Ephesians 4:20-24; 2 Corinthians 3:18).
E — End is just the Beginning 🌅
The end of this world is actually the start of something amazing—the new heaven and new earth! Jesus will come back to judge everyone and to bring a perfect, new creation where everything will be made new (Revelation 20:11-15; 21:1-5).
F — Filling of the Holy Spirit 🔥
When you believe in Jesus, you receive the gift of the Holy Spirit—the power and presence of God living inside you. Holy Spirit united with you. He fills your life with strength, love, and guidance. You can experience this personally, and it’s a promise for every believer who continues to trust Jesus (Acts 2:38-39; Ephesians 3:19; Acts 19:1-2).
S — Spiritual Transformation 🌱
Being a Christian means growing to become more like Jesus every day. This spiritual change happens through the Holy Spirit working in you as you read God’s word and live with other believers in community (Ephesians 4:17-23; Matthew 28:19-20). It’s a lifelong journey of becoming the person God created you to be.
We’re excited to grow with you in faith, love, and service. Join us as we live out these beliefs together! 🙏❤️
