STEP 1: Discerning Godβs Voice

STEP 2: Pastoral Prayer Journal

- β Ask the trainee to begin weekly intercession for their team or ministry.
- β Encourage journaling prayers and answered requests.
- β Periodically review the journal together.
- β Debrief: βWhat burdens or insights is the Lord giving you as you pray?β
STEP 3: Burnout Check & Rhythm Reset
Checklist for Coach:
- β Have the trainee assess emotional, physical, and spiritual health.
- β Guide them to revisit and adjust their Rule of Life.
- β Offer pastoral support and suggestions for rest and rhythm.
- β Debrief: βWhat changes are you committing to for sustainable ministry?β
STEP 4: Mentoring for Inner Growth (2 stages)
Stage 1 β Begin Mentoring Relationship
- β Help the trainee select someone to mentor in spiritual formation.
- β Assist in preparing a mentoring plan (topics, frequency, goals).
Stage 2 β Feedback and Reflection
- β Let the mentee give feedback (written or verbal).
- β Debrief: βHow did mentoring shape your own growth?β
STEP 5: Spiritual Discernment Exercise (2 stages)
Stage 1 β Lead the Discernment Session
- β Teach them how to guide a person in prayerful decision-making.
- β Provide a structure (Scripture, silence, reflection questions, counsel).
Stage 2 β Outcome and Evaluation
