๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Task Group Supervisor Coaching Workflow

STEP 1: Help Someone Know More About RLCC
Checklist for Coach:
  • โ˜ Explain the purpose of this project: to introduce RLCCโ€™s mission, values, and methods.
  • โ˜ Provide a copy or link to the RLCC Vision Seminar material.
  • โ˜ Help the trainee identify someone they can invite or guide through the seminar.
  • โ˜ Encourage them to follow up with the person and answer questions.
  • โ˜ Debrief: Ask how the session went and what the other person learned.
๐Ÿ“Œ Note: The person doesn't need to join right awayโ€”focus on a clear, gracious presentation.
STEP 2: Help Someone Discover Their Ministry
Checklist for Coach:
  • โ˜ Introduce or review the โ€œYou Are SPECIALโ€ and โ€œiSERVEโ€ tools with the trainee.
  • โ˜ Help them select someone to guide through this process.
  • โ˜ Coach them on how to explain each step simply and relationally.
  • โ˜ Let them walk the person through the full process (test, reflection, prayer, decision).
  • โ˜ Debrief: What ministry calling did the person discover? What did the trainee learn?
๐Ÿ“Œ Note: You can role-play this step with the trainee first, if needed.
STEP 3: Coach or Mentor a Worker
Checklist for Coach:
  • โ˜ Help the trainee identify someone new (or growing) in their ministry team.
  • โ˜ Discuss the difference between coaching (skills) and mentoring (growth).
  • โ˜ Guide them to set regular check-ins (even short ones) with that person.
  • โ˜ Ask the trainee to pray with and guide that worker through early challenges.
  • โ˜ Debrief: Ask what the worker needs most and how the trainee can continue supporting them.
๐Ÿ“Œ Note: Progress over perfectionโ€”small consistent support is key.
STEP 4: Lead a Devotional or Huddle
Checklist for Coach:
  • โ˜ Encourage the trainee to prepare a short devotional or encouragement.
  • โ˜ Help them choose a relevant scripture and connect it to the teamโ€™s experience.
  • โ˜ Offer to review their notes or do a practice run.
  • โ˜ Let them lead it during a team meeting or group chat if needed.
  • โ˜ Debrief: How did the team respond? What did the trainee enjoy or find difficult?
๐Ÿ“Œ Note: Encourage them to speak from the heart, not just from notes.
STEP 5: Coordinate a Ministry Task
Checklist for Coach:
  • โ˜ Ask the trainee to take charge of one small event, schedule, or task for their team.
  • โ˜ Help them create a simple checklist or timeline (e.g. Planning Center task, Google Doc).
  • โ˜ Coach them to communicate clearly with all involved (chat, calendar, etc.).
  • โ˜ Observe how they handle logistics and follow-through.
  • โ˜ Debrief: What went well? What would they improve next time?
๐Ÿ“Œ Note: Even a Sunday schedule or team rotation counts as a โ€œministry task.โ€
STEP 6: Give Feedback to a Ministry Worker
Checklist for Coach:
  • โ˜ Talk with the trainee about how to give feedback that builds people up.
  • โ˜ Share the โ€œaffirm first, adjust next, affirm againโ€ method.
  • โ˜ Let them practice giving feedback on a recent task or service.
  • โ˜ Encourage gentleness and clarity.
  • โ˜ Debrief: Ask how the worker received the feedback and how the trainee felt giving it.
๐Ÿ“Œ Note: You can model this step by giving them feedback first.
โœ… Final Step (Optional): Completion Review
Checklist for Coach:
  • โ˜ Confirm all 6 projects have been completed meaningfully.
  • โ˜ Celebrate spiritual and leadership growth with the trainee.
  • โ˜ Recommend the next step (e.g., IMPACT Team or mentoring others).
  • โ˜ Pray together and speak encouragement over their development.
๐Ÿ“Œ Note: Update the TAG mentor or Junior Pastor if needed.
