π― Purpose of Coaching
The goal of coaching is to help Resource Persons grow in their spiritual walk, develop ministry competence, and gain relational confidence. Coaches provide encouragement, practical support, and spiritual guidance as Resource Persons complete their training projects and serve in their ministry roles.
π οΈ Key Responsibilities of a Coach
1. Guide the Training Process
- Walk with the Resource Person through each of their assigned training projects.
- Help them understand not only what to do, but why each step is spiritually meaningful.
2. Offer Constructive Feedback
- Observe their practice sessions or actual service (in person or via recording).
- Provide specific, kind, and helpful suggestions for growth.
3. Encourage Spiritual Growth
- Remind them that ministry is a form of worship and discipleship.
- Pray with them regularly, especially before and after service opportunities.
4. Facilitate Personal Reflection
- Ask reflection questions like:
βWhat went well?β
βWhat challenged you?β
βWhat would you do differently next time?β
βWhat is God teaching you through this experience?β
5. Report Progress (when needed)
- Share brief updates with Ministry Heads or Coordinators.
- Notify leaders if a volunteer is excelling or struggling and needs support.
