Join a TAG Intro
At Real Life Christian Communities (RLCC), we believe that leadership is not an instant achievement—it is a journey of growth, accountability, and training. To prepare future leaders, we have Timothy Accountability Groups (TAGs).
A TAG is a small group of two (or three) members created for the purpose of leadership development. It is inspired by Paul’s instruction to Timothy:
“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” (2 Timothy 2:2)
Unlike other groups in the church, a TAG is not ongoing. Each one has a clear beginning and it multiplies. Members join at the start of the training journey, commit to the process, and then multiply when the time is right.
TAGs are designed around seven levels of leadership training:
- Lay Leaders – Facilitators, Supervisors, Team Leaders.
- Interns – Apprentices preparing for higher responsibility.
- Junior Pastors 1 – Initial pastoral equipping.
- Junior Pastors 2 – Deeper pastoral training.
- Assistant Pastors – Serving alongside senior leadership.
- Associate Pastors – Carrying significant leadership and mentoring roles.
- Congregational Pastors – Leading an entire congregation.
When you join a TAG, you are saying “Yes, Lord. I am willing to be trained, stretched, and equipped to serve You as a leader.” This journey requires commitment, accountability, and openness to mentoring.
This guide will walk you through what it means to join a TAG, what you can expect, and how you can finish well—so you can step into greater leadership for the glory of God.
