Be an Overseer

Raising Faithful Shepherds of Communities

A Practical Coaching Guide for Community Overseers
Course Overview
This course is designed to equip faithful and called leaders to serve as Overseers in Real Life Christian Communities. An Overseer leads a community of believers bonded together by gender, age group, shared affinity, or geographical proximity. Each Overseer works closely with a core team of supervisors called IMPACT (Integrated Ministry Planning and Coordination Team). Together, they provide oversight, encouragement, support, and guidance to all the LIFE Groups and TASK Groups within their assigned community.
Rather than learning abstract theory, Overseers will be coached while serving. This means the course is intentionally hands-on and application-based. Each topic includes clear instructions, real-life assignments, and weekly conversations with your assigned coach. You will learn by doing, building and shepherding your assigned community in real time.
How This Course Works
  • Coaching-Based Learning: You will be paired with a coach who will guide you through each session, help you reflect on your experiences, and provide support when challenges arise.
  • On-the-Job Training: Every session includes actual ministry tasks for you to apply immediately as an Overseer.
  • Reflect and Apply: There are practical reflection questions and action points in every session to help you grow and serve more effectively.
  • Team-Oriented: You will not serve alone. Your IMPACT team will journey with you as you build a spiritually healthy and fruitful community.
